Mina and Van Helsing continue their journey through the Carpathians toward Castle Dracula, with Mina growing increasingly lethargic and affected by the vampire's influence. Van Helsing leaves Mina protected in a holy circle to enter the castle, where he destroys the three vampire sisters and seals Dracula's tomb with holy wafer. The groups converge at sunset in a climactic confrontation where Jonathan and Quincey Morris slay Dracula, destroying him forever, but Quincey dies from his wounds after seeing the curse lifted from Mina.
