Alice sits bored by the riverbank with her sister and follows a White Rabbit that checks a pocket watch, tumbling down a deep rabbit hole filled with curious shelves and jars. She falls slowly, talking to herself about geography, her cat Dinah, and bats, before landing in a long hall where she finds a tiny golden key and a small door leading to a beautiful garden. After drinking from a "DRINK ME" bottle that shrinks her to ten inches tall, she forgets the key on the table, cries, then eats a "EAT ME" cake hoping it will change her size to reach the garden.

A small mouse with an opinionated, passionate attitude; strongly dislikes cats and dogs and is easily offended when those topics are raised. Willing to communicate but controls what he shares until he reaches safety by the shore. Surfaces near Alice, listens to her attempts to speak, and becomes agitated when cats and dogs are discussed. Agrees to come to the shore and then explain why he hates cats and dogs, telling his story afterward.
