The White Rabbit runs in panic and drops his white kid gloves and a large fan; Alice gathers them. In the pool, Alice speaks with Mouse, but the topic of cats and dogs angers him until he agrees to tell his story after they reach the shore, where a duck, a dodo, a lory, an eaglet, and other creatures gather.
